Although difficult to predict the year ahead with the continue challenges in the global economy we had seen signs of improvement in the recruitment market at year end with consistent demand from clients for both contract and permanent recruitment in both the UK and Europe however my view is what will set us apart in 2013 is our network and relationship with our candidates.
The best candidates are still very much in high demand (both for permanent placement and shorter term contract roles) and how well we know our network and the availability and desires of those candidates will ensure we can provide our clients with the very best people.
Here at Vine Resources we are spending over 60% of our week talking to and meeting our candidates in our existing network and ensuring we understand their needs so we can match them with our client’s as soon as they arise. We focus on ensuing 90% of our the candidates on internal database(over 15,000) have had a personal call every 6 months for permanent and 12 weeks for contract looking at building a long term relationships with them whether it results in a placement or not.
Although the economy will remain challenging and recruitment budgets will be tight for those recruiters with an exceptional and well known candidate network will really stand out from the crowd.
